Strory from Dellon
Kuswari and I, Meila Rosianika. Language Ambassador for Jambi Province
2012. We had a chance to went Jakarta. Met another language ambassador
from around Indonesia.
Day#1
October, 24 2012
flight to Jakarta from sultan taha airport at 7.40 am. Lion air was
on time. We landed at soekarno hatta at 8.40 am. Dellon and I felt our
tummy so empty. So we made a decision to have a brunch in one food
court at airport. We choose soto! Yea, but the cost was sooo expensive I
think. We paid more than sixty thousand rupiahs for two portion. Btw,
we took our silly face pictures in airplane too.
We arrived at balai bahasa in mid-day after we choose taxi to bring
ourselves and our heavy suitcase. Later on, we did some registrations
and document checking with commitee. Done! We got our room. Dellon got
upstairs, and downstairs was mine. We took a short rest by then. My
roommates were from Manado and Samarinda. Both of them were kind.
At night,we had an opening ceremony. Dellon and I wore black blazer
and neon blue shirt inside. After that, there was one seminar about the
policy of language. The speaker's name was Prof. Mahsun. He is one
member of house of representative concerning in language development. I
was soo excited to ask. But unluckily,I didn't have a chance to share
it. Even I raised my hand up. The time was so limited. So I just wrote
down my question in a piece of paper and gave it to commitee.
That's all for today. That was 1am and I still couldn't sleep.
Day#2
October, 25 2012
I woke up at 5 am. 1st activity today was morning jogging. I got my
body fresher after that. Dellon and I wore white t-shirt. Next, we had a
breakfast and took a bath.
One hour later,we had a test for UKBI.. It was so long a test. UKBI
is an abbreviation of Uji Kemahiran Berbahasa Indonesia. That test
seemed like toefl, But the content was about indonesian language. I
hope dellon and I could get high score!
After lunch, one speaker talked about the competence improvement of
indonesian language. The speaker was Bpk Mustakim. He is one of experts
in indonesian language. I couldn't handle myself to ask question in my
mind. I raise my hand and yes.. I was choosen. It was great to show my
public-speaking ability in front of provincial representative around
indonesia.
At night, the comittee divided theme or paper topics to us. Dellon
and I got topic about harmony in difference. That night we also made
our a spiritfull yell, Thanks to silly person named Zamzam from
south-east sulawesi. He was sooo funny and made us laugh out loud
because of his idea to use "Chibi-chibi" in our yell. His appearance was
funny too. Btw, at that night we wore couple batik. Nice to see Dellon
wore pink batik
as I choose for him.
Day#3
October, 26 2012
it's idul adha! Yay. So today there was no difficult activity as
usual. It means no make up for that day. I was sooo tired to use so
many make up tools that Dellon advices me.
We were going to At-Taqwa mosque to pray ied. It's memorable. After
praying we had a photoshoot in front of mosque and forgave each other.
That morning was completed by breakfast and a bath.
As I told u before, we had no heavy activity today. But Dellon and I
planned to work on our paper. So, Dellon promised me to go downstairs
(my room) soon.
We worked for that paper about 3 hours. Feeling a little bit tired,
we stopped to take a rest. We planned to continue after pray isya.
Afternoon was coming. We had an exercise for Youth Pledge's ceremony
that would be held on monday. I proposed myself as one of paskibra's
member. I was trying so hard for it. Meanwhile Dellon was choosen to be
pancasila reader at that moment.
I had an interesting topic with representative from Jabar during our
dinner time. She had a long story about france literature that she
like the most. So I got new information from her. What a nice dinner.
Dellon came to my room again at night. We continue working on our
paper. When I was writing this, Dellon was still beside me. Can I have a
beautiful dream without necessity to write this paper, De?!
Day#4
October, 27 2012
We had an excercise in the morning. The instructor was so friendly.
I got sweaty. That's better to let my stress go away. Later on, it was
breakfast before we went back to our room and prepared the horrible
test that I was afraid the most. UKBA a.k.a Uji Kemahiran Bahasa Asing.
One thing that I know for sure is that my grammar is soo bad. But my
confidence was still high because I'm a quite master to speak. At least
to make people can understand what I said.
So when we were waiting our turn to speak english in front of
people, Dellon and I were exercising ourselves by asking each other.
Province by province has done.. Until MC call our province.. Jambi.
Dellon and I were walking to jury. We sang some lyrics of Jambi song to
kill our nerves. We got applause. First question from jury was "Dellon
and Meila, both of you are the most favorite, Aren't u?" And bla bla
bla. Everything still in control.
After lunch, we had a personality training by psychologist named
Michiko Mamesah. M.Psi. She gave us so much information about how to
manage personality. Dellon and I had a chance to share and ask
question. What an useful information.
Then we had a training and prepare ceremony to celebrate Youth
Pledge in Oktober 28. I tried so hard to be a good person in line as
paskibra and Dellon was making some progress to read pancasila.
I had a problem with my body when Dellon picked me up to have a
dinner. I said to him I was sick. And his response was soo annoying. He
replied with his laughter. So I just tried to be stronger. I got up
from my bed and followed him to have a dinner. He said to me "What u
think is what u get, Mei". Yea, he meant that if I thought I was okay,
so I'd be okay and vice versa.
After dinner, Dellon and I continued typing our paper. Dellon and I
stayed in our room. Suddenly I felt asleep because I was so tired.
Dellon did it by himself. When I woke up, there was no Dellon in my
room anymore. Maybe he was upstairs in his room.
Day#5
October, 28 2012
As usual, we had an excercise in the morning. My body was getting
fresher by then. After taking a bath, we planned to have outbound.
It was so hot when we started to play outbound. The outbound just
superb! Amazing and we learned so much about teamwork from it. Too
sweet to forget. Thanks for the committee. There were many games that
could train us to work as team and believed in each other. Sorry I
couldn't tell u about the games one by one. U know, I'm pretty bad in
describing something. One thing that I remembered the most is we were
getting wet in the end of the outbound. Yup, the water-games never
flat.
In the afternoon, we were training again to held Sumpah Pemuda's
ceremony on monday. As I told u before, I became one person on the line
of paskibra.
I celebrated my satnite with dellon in my room. We prepared our performance to give presentation tomorrow.
Day#6
October, 29 2012
It sounds horrible when we heard about presentation. But we know
that show must go on, rite? So, Dellon and I tried to be patient
waiting for our turn. When presenter called... Jambi, we moved forward.
Dellon and I had a chance to give presentation only in 10 minutes.
Whatever would be, let it be. The most important was that we prepared
and did our best.
Section of presentation was ended until almost-magrib. We had
something called "♏ªlëm Keakraban" or makrab at 7pm. Friends from
different provinces were so amazing. Each of them tried to show their
song. Dellon was so attractive that night. I think he was "star in the
party". Btw, he got a predicate as the most beautiful ambassador 2012.
Yup, beautiful. I think it's because his skin so white and have a red
lip. I said to him that the main reason why he got that predicate was
that he was more than handsome. Pssst, it was just my key to make him
happier after got that embarrasing predicate. I lied.
After we celebrated makrab, the committe gave us instruction to
follow them. They brought us to another place. Ya, all of us did
technical meeting for tomorrow. We practiced walking and singing our
mars on the stage until mid-nite. Tired? Of course yes. And the worst
thing was we had to wake up so early tomorrow. We had to wear our
traditional costume and full make up for final event. The day after,
the committee would announce who the winners are, and who top 6 from
around Indonesia are?
Day#7
October, 30 2012
Final day! All participants looked great with their own traditional
costume. I woke up very early, took a bath and went upstairs. Committee
provided us make up team on final day. So one "mbak" make up touched
my face. I felt more beautiful after that make up kit had been applied
on my face. Dellon did his job to make creation in my "Tengkuluk".
Tengkuluk is one of traditional head stuff from Jambi. So, beside our
traditional costume on final day, I wore tengkuluk creation by Dellon.
Both of us looked so great.
They announced top 6 from 25 provinces during our day in Jakarta on
final day. Congratulation to Bali as number one, number two from
Sumbar, three from DKI Jakarta, four from Jateng, five from Yogyakarta
and yes.. Six is number for Jambi. We were so excited because Jambi had
never got top 6 before.
I'm so proud when Dellon sang a song "Orang Kayo Itam" on final day.
Yap, he was choosen as one of singers to complete our final day. It
was mid-day when committee gave us instruction to take a lunch. After
that, all of us went upstairs to be paid. Ya, we were paid during this
quarantine-period. Yay! We got fresh money.
We decided to had some fun in the afternoon. Quarantine-period has
ended that day. So, some friends directly went to their own provinces.
But, some of us stayed at Jakarta and plan to have a trip. That time,
some representatives were going to Plaza Semanggi. What we did? None
other than "go-shop-till-drop!".
Day#8
October, 31 2012
Dellon and I still stayed at Jakarta. We plan to back at Thursday.
Nice being your partner during this hectic week, De. I hope we can make
something to our province. Thanks Jambi for this chance. Dellon and I
still on our way to learn more about our language.
