Seminar Nasional Tradisi Lisan

A few days ago, Dellon and I as "Language Ambassador 2012" were following seminar from Kantor Bahasa Prov. Jambi. That seminar entitled oral tradition. Oral tradition is not new thing for the people of Jambi. Various ceremonies customs in Jambi loaded with oral traditions. Bakeba is one of many owned by the rich oral traditions of Jambi. Proud of it.

The seminar was held in Sumatra Room, Ratu Hotel. Speakers presented so competently talk about oral tradition, namely Mrs. Dr. Pudentia MPSS, the chairman of the Association of Oral Tradition (ATL) and also a member of the Indonesian Committee for MOW (Memory of the World) of UNESCO. The next speaker, Dr Mukhlis PaEni, Chairman of the Indonesian Film Censorship Board, and Chairman of the Society Historian Indonesia.

Dr Pudentia explained, the oral tradition between the producer and the product of culture, can not be separated. Both are very dependent on each other. Meanwhile, Dr Mukhlis said "We need to revitalize the area of ​​cultural treasures that still exist. For example, the story of our people create in other forms, such as opera".

Well that seminar gave me important knowledge about my own culture. I met amazing people because that event was also attended by teachers, students, actors and art critic in Jambi. Hope young generation like me will officially be invinted for the seminar like this.

Mandarin and Guitar

People regulary asked me why i've been learning mandarin languange. Randomly i just answered if i love to learn something new. As u may know, my undergraduate major is Indonesian language departement. But i also love to speak, learn and write in english since few years ago. Of course, i've been doing some gramatical error or something like that. But i continued learn english till now. I joined H3's community. One community that exist in Jambi and take care english for communication. I learned much from them.

Nowadays, im interest with mandarin and playing a guitar. I've been learning mandarin language at Vihara Amrta and been trying to play guitar if i have a time. Firstly, im so stuck! But i'm enjoying all of my activity by then. I'm pure 100% javanese. The main reason why i learn mandarin is to entertaining myself. That reason is also for playing a guitar. Remember my motto: "Belajar adalah hiburan".
