The seminar was held in Sumatra Room, Ratu Hotel. Speakers presented so competently talk about oral tradition, namely Mrs. Dr. Pudentia MPSS, the chairman of the Association of Oral Tradition (ATL) and also a member of the Indonesian Committee for MOW (Memory of the World) of UNESCO. The next speaker, Dr Mukhlis PaEni, Chairman of the Indonesian Film Censorship Board, and Chairman of the Society Historian Indonesia.
Dr Pudentia explained, the oral tradition between the producer and the product of culture, can not be separated. Both are very dependent on each other. Meanwhile, Dr Mukhlis said "We need to revitalize the area of cultural treasures that still exist. For example, the story of our people create in other forms, such as opera".
Well that seminar gave me important knowledge about my own culture. I met amazing people because that event was also attended by teachers, students, actors and art critic in Jambi. Hope young generation like me will officially be invinted for the seminar like this.
